DR. ERIN O'CONNOR
EMERGENCY MEDICINE BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Erin O’Connor is an attending Emergency Physician at the University Health Network. Dr. O’Connor attended medical school at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario and completed residency in the FRCPC Emergency Medicine program at the University of Ottawa. During her residency she completed a one year fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. O’Connor has research interests in Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine in the Emergency Department. She is currently working with Pallium Canada to develop a curriculum to teach Emergency Medicine Physicians and EMS providers essential palliative care skills. Previous research work has been in the area of patient safety and Emergency Department crowding.
